A business plan training being conducted for 50 women headed households who are marked them as emerging entreprenures of Koralaipattucentral,Eravurpattu and Manmunaiwest DS divisions.Training conducted as a roll out session by the beneficiaires who have already received the training from CIRCLE in 2022.The overall objective of the training is to support the emerging women entreprenuers to do their business in a systamatic way with record keeping ,financial forecast and followup.At the end of the training the participants developed businessplan for their each entreprises. The 03 days training conducted on 23rd,24th and 25th of August 2023 with how to do the SWOT analysis of the business enviornment . CIRCLE has kicked off it’s 2nd project “Strengthened women participation in Peacebuilding through Employability, Advocacy and Social cohesion” with the grant support of UNOPS-VRIDHI with the period of July 2023 to December 2023 Project Intervention areas: Manmunaiwest(Naripulthottam,Mahalavattavan),Koralaipattucentral (Biranthurachenai 206C,Biranthurachenai 206A,Valaichenai 206B,Eravurpattu (Savukady,Kaluvankerny-1,Kaluvankerny11) The objectives of the project : Livelihood support to 50 Women headed households Provision of Legal and documentation support to women and children Youth engagement in advocacy initiatives Awareness raising on peacebuilding to women and youth Social cohesion CIRCLE has collaboratively implementing the activities of the project with Women Economic Development Association in Koralaipattucentral (KPC) Circle has completed its beneficiary selection : with Baseline assessment/Situation analysis, Household visit and Data collection of the intervention areas by CIRCLE team complain mechanism process was put in place in all the Gramma Niladhari office for one week time before finalizing the list. CIRCLE’s performance in VRIDHI festival

VRIDHI is the platform for CSO’s created by UNOPS for the networking collaboration and support between the civil society community of Srilanka. VRIDHI aims to create a platform via which inter – civil society connection can be formed and nurtured based on geographical location, areas of interest of work and other shared values. VRIDHI festival organized by UNOPS team held on 29th and 30 of July in Batticaloa for the Eastern civil society organizations ,CIRCLE took a part of the panel discussion on the topic of “Women in Leadership” and we were also able to introduce our 10 emerging young women entrepreneurs of Mahalavattavan ,Manmunaiwest to start up their business activities of selling organic products with the VRIDHI platform. UNOPS Field Monitoring and Focus group discussion of the activities of CIRCLE being implemented in Eravurpattu DS division

UNOPS had carried out a field monitoring and a focus group discussion in February 2023 with stake holders and beneficiaries of CIRCLE in Eravurpattu DS division.04 Government stake holders and 10 beneficiaries took part of the events Gramma Niladhari of Savukady village ,Women development officer ,relief sister and Additional Director of Registrar Eravurpattu provided their inputs of CIRCLLE’s intervention in their DS divisions . 10 beneficiaries who have received livelihood assistance and Legal assistance from CIRCLE under the Peace building grant of UNOPS shared their feed back ,challenges ,successes and the current issues of their village.

Educational support to the school students in 2022 by CIRCLE Wing of Young Feminist Team

We strongly believe one of the main tool of eliminating the violence against women and children is lighten up the children by educating them, as the result of the current situation of the country students are struggling to get their basic right of access to the education .Uprising price of the learning equipment has become a challenge of the rural area students. Considering the above issues CIRCLE is continuously contributing to the education of rural area students. 40 Women headed households got assistance for Natural farming

In-order to encourage the home gardening ,natural farming, seasonal natural farming  we have distributed Seeds and Seedlings to the 40  women headed households of Manmunaiwest and Eravurpattu Ds divisions to encourage the natural farming and  home gardening . Certificate awarding event to the 30 young women entrepreneurs

As a face to honor the emerging young female entrepreneurs with the support of UNOPS (it is noteworthy that women entrepreneurs are the women headed households and the beneficiaries of CIRCLE) who have actively participated in our 10 days Business plan training, Natural farming and waste management training we have awarded certificates to honor them and their entrepreneurship journey The event held on 23rd of January 2023, 30 Young women entrepreneurs including disable women participated in the training.
