Training on Value addition and Value chain to the 25 Women Headed Households

Main objective is to support the development of an enabling and empowering business environment for establishing and sustaining income-generating and employment opportunities for Young Women Headed Households in vulnerable communities in Batticaloa District

Training conducted to 25 young women headed households from Eravurpatru and Manmuniawest DS divisions on 3^rd and 4^th December 2022 at Naripulthottam GS office

Following points were discussed and facilitated

1. What are the benefits of value addition
2. Important of the raw material selection
3. Important of processing in a hygienic way
4. Ingredients and the proper measuring system of the productions were demonstrated
5. How to do Packaging and labelling with the support of area PHI
6. Pricing

Demonstration for selected value addition products were provided with the recipe and correct measurement
